As a Founding Partner of the US non-profit &Mother, (for more information on our partnership, click here) we are honoured to be able to partner and support legendary 100m hurdler Dawn Harper-Nelson in her campaign to make the US Olympic team at the US Olympic trials in June 2021. If all goes well here, then we will continue our support of Harper-Nelson as she tries to take out another Olympic medal at the Tokyo Games in July 2021.
Harper-Nelson (36) is a stalwart in the 100m hurdles event. Along with a plethora of other world championship and Diamond League titles, Harper-Nelson was the gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the silver medalist in the 2012 London Olympic Games. Dawn Harper is the first American 100-metre hurdler to ever win gold at an Olympics and medal in the following Olympics.
Harper-Nelson missed out on qualifying for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro by .01 seconds, but then went on to win silver at the 2017 World Championships.
In April 2019, Harper-Nelson became a mother to Harper Renee Nelson, and this year is going to try to make her third Olympics, 13 years after winning gold in her first games.
We believe in you Dawn and we thank you for flying the flag for mothers around the world who want to not only work and be a mother, but thrive in both areas...like you do! You're an inspiration to all of us - go get 'em!
Watch Dawn compete in the 100m hurdles event at the 2017 World Championships where she placed second below. Such POWER!
